Civil/Environmental Engineer

Description:

We have an immediate opening for a Civil/Environmental Engineer (BS or MS in Civil Engineering required) with an interest in civil, water resources, environmental, geotechnical, and/or transportation engineering. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple disciplines-planning, design, permitting, and construction-while contributing to impactful infrastructure and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and lead civil and environmental engineering design tasks.
  • Develop engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages.
  • Lead or assist with project development, proposals, and client interactions.
  • Conduct permitting with state, EPA, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and other agencies.
  • Oversee construction administration, including site inspections, QA/QC, contractor pay application review, and field reporting.
  • Support surveying activities to collect and stake project data.
  • Provide mentorship and quality oversight for associate engineers and design staff.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil3D to prepare technical drawings and designs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional engineering standards.
Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering (required).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Montana and/or Wyoming required.
  • 6-15 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Experience in project management a plus.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel as needed.
