This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that's constantly evolving.Main responsibilities:* Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of the bakery department to ensure smooth and efficient execution* Supervise, train, and develop bakery team members while maintaining a positive and productive work environment* Plan production schedules, staffing, and department workflow to meet customer demand* Deliver excellent customer service, including assisting customers, answering questions, and promoting bakery products* Maintain product quality and freshness by monitoring baked goods and display standards* Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations* Manage inventory, including ordering ingredients and supplies and maintaining accurate records* Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bakery area, including displays and backroom* Support sales growth through merchandising, sampling, and product promotion initiativesWe are looking for candidates who possess the following:Soft skills:* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills* Effective communication and team leadership abilities* Ability to build relationships with customers and team members* Problem-solving and decision-making skills* Adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment* Reliability and accountabilityCompetencies:* Team leadership and employee development* Operational planning and execution* Inventory management and merchandising* Food safety and sanitation compliance* Customer-focused service delivery* Time management and multitaskingKnowledge:* Knowledge of bakery products, production processes, and ingredients* Understanding of food safety, sanitation regulations, and company policies* Familiarity with retail operations, including ordering, inventory, and merchandising* Basic understanding of sales promotion and customer engagementAbilities:* Ability to operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and slicers* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment* Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and company procedures* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including flexible scheduling (early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays)Other requirements:* Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods* Compliance with company policies, including grooming and workplace conduct standards* Ability to work in a temperature-controlled retail environment with occasional exposure to varying conditionsWe also provide a variety of benefits including:* Competitive wages paid weekly* Access to up to 50% of your earned wages before payday, via our partnership with Stream* Associate discounts* Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)* Time off (vacation, holidays, sick pay).
